DRAFT NOTES
There were no players drafted this year who didn’t have at least a 6th-7th round high in my projection, for the first time ever.
Only 5 of my top 25 players were not drafted.
Tennessee Tech WR Da’Rick Rogers is a player many teams had in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th row on their boards but passed on due to character. I’m told he would have gone in the 3rd round if not for character flags. There are some additional things that have happened that most did not know about thus the surprising fall.
Outside of Rogers there was no player on my board projected 5th round or higher who went undrafted and just 7 with a PFA projection who were drafted, and 2 of those 7 drafted in the 7th round.
BIGGEST VALUE
According to my board, Baltimore got the best value in the draft with Aaron Mellette at pick 238 who had a 5th round grade on my board.
BIGGEST REACH
Valdosta State OG Edmund Kugbila was a 7th round projection and the Panthers took him 108 overall in the 4th round.
WITHIN RANGE
The draft is so fickle so it’s considered to be a dead on hit if you are within a half round to round of where a player is drafted. Based on that, the board hit dead on with 19 of the 30 picks.
COMBINE SNUBS DRAFTED
Here are the 10 players who were drafted despite no invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine.

MULTIPLE DRAFT PICKS
Appalachian State is the only non FBS school to have more than one player drafted with punter Sam Martin in the 5th round and cornerback Demetrius McCray in the 7th round. App State is now headed to the Sun Belt with the 2014 NFL Draft being their last year in the small school rankings.
COOPER TAYLOR
The NY Giants have one of the best medical staffs in the NFL and they passed Taylor. Had it been known he passed the medical tests he would have been a 6th round projection.
COMBINE SNUB DRAFT RANGE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED
There have been cases where a combine snub is drafted in the 3rd round but more often than not the range is the 4th round with most of them going in the 6th or 7th round.
COMBINE/ALL-STAR GAME SNUBS
There were two players snubbed by every all-star game and NFL Scouting Combine and here they are:

THE NEW PECKING ORDER OF ALL-STAR GAMES
The Senior Bowl is No. 1 while the Shrine is No. 2. With the years the TVN game has been around the fact it has been tied by the Raycom Game in year one shows the Raycom Game has passed it and is the better option, especially with Montori Hughes showing up and using the game to earn a Senior Bowl invite. If a player wants to play in the Senior Bowl and has no invite they should attend the Shrine or Raycom Games because they will give the opportunity.
