Example: Bloomsburg saw a breakout performance from senior DE #40 JUSTIN PRESLEY (6024, 243) who is considered a tweener due to his size and we must admit have not broken his tape down but thought his performance considered mentioning as he tallied eight tackles, three for loss, and three sacks.
Gannon senior RB #6 JON RICHARDSON (5104, 205) showed why he is considered one of the best in the PSAC by rushing for 129 yards and three touchdowns in their exciting 35-34 come from behind victory over Lake Erie. He was not the only standout as junior OLB/SS #17 MATTHEW NEAL MINK (6014, 200) led the team with 13 tackles, including two for loss.
One of the better individual defensive performances of this past week was the performance of Clarion (PA) junior SS #20 NICK SIPES (5104, 215) who tallied 13 tackles, one for loss, and one sack in their 33-21 win over Fairmont State.. Teammate and junior DE #58 BEN MAUND (6014, 245) also put together an impressive game with nine tackles, three for loss, and two sacks.
Dixie State senior QB #4 JUDD THOMPSON (6024, 220), who transferred from Utah State, put on quite a show last Thursday with 374 yards and four touchdowns threw the air on 27 of 40 passing, with just one pick in their 37-28 victory over Adams State College. He also ran for eight yards. His top target was junior WR #15 KYSER CHRISTENSEN (6024, 215) who deserves a look after grabbing nine passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns in the win based solely on size and production alone. We will keep an eye on this duo as the season progresses. Senior CB #10 RICHARD MAY (5094, 190) tallied two interceptions, two pass breakups, and four tackles, respectively, as he leads Division II in interceptions thus far...
