Example: Fort Hays State senior CB/RS #10 C.J. LOVETT (6004, 195) was named the MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week as he totaled 253 yards on five returns (3 PR, 2 KR), averaging 50.6 yards per return overall in the game. He took the opening kick of the second half 95 yards for a touchdown, which was the sixth-longest return in Fort Hays State history. He also blocked a 37-yard field goal attempt in the second half. He returned Western State's second punt of the second half back 78 yards for a touchdown (2nd longest PR in FHSU history).
DULUTH RB STARTS PILING HARDWARE EARLY
Minnesota Duluth junior RB #31 ISAAC ODIM (5114, 215) is a player we highlighted earlier in the week and his 12 carry, 187-yard, and two touchdown performance on the ground earned him NSIC Offensive Player of the Week honors. He also caught three balls for 75 yards and another two scores. His 354 multi-purpose yards were a career high while his five total scores were just one shy of the UMD single-game record. Odim is one to watch as the season progresses and could be a NFL prospect next year...
